Maxim Antoshin has been Executive Director of the Ottawa Chamber Music Society since 2 September 2014.
Mr. Antoshin comes to the OCMS from the Regina Symphony Orchestra, where he had served as Executive Director since 2011. While at RSO, Mr. Antoshin oversaw the financial turnaround of the Orchestra by doubling individual giving and increasing sponsorships and government support. He also founded a hugely popular eight-program RSO Education and Outreach Fund; negotiated an unprecedented five-year agreement between management and musicians; and organized a high-profile command performance for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall during the 2012 Royal Tour.
What can be more exciting than to work with a creative Artistic Director, a dedicated team, and a supportive board? Together, we’ll do great things.
Prior to his tenure at RSO, Mr. Antoshin was a Development Officer for the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and one of ten fellows in the John F. Kennedy Center Arts Management Institute in Washington, DC. Originally a professional bassoonist, Mr. Antoshin received his musical training in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has been active in the arts since he was 15.
