Rules

Official rules and regulations (the “Rules”) for the “Bahamas for Two” Raffle (the “Raffle”). 100% of net proceeds of this Raffle will benefit the Ottawa Chamber Music Society (the “OCMS”).

Agreement
By purchasing a raffle ticket in this lottery, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these Rules.

Raffle ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Raffle tickets are final sale, no exchanges or refunds. Raffle tickets will be available for sale from November 1, 2012 until 5:00 pm December 14, 2012. There are 100 raffle tickets available. Raffle tickets will be sold individually at $100 per ticket. All Raffle ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. Only Raffle tickets that have been paid for, and have been verified as paid for, are eligible to win the Grand Prize. Raffle tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor. Any requests for changes to the Raffle ticket holder’s name require photo identification and constitute a formal transfer of the Raffle ticket.

Substitutions or modifications of the Grand Prize shall not be permitted. The Grand Prize is not transferrable.

The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the Raffle ticket.

The decision of OCMS shall be final on all matters concerning this Raffle.

This Raffle is being held pursuant to a raffle permit issued by the City of Ottawa, Ontario, in accordance with the requirements of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. A copy of the raffle licence may be obtained from City of Ottawa Town Hall or by calling OCMS.

The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

Who Can Purchase
Raffle ticket purchasers must be at least 18 years of age. Raffle tickets must be purchased and delivered within Ontario. While they are in Ontario, residents of other countries or provinces may purchase Raffle tickets sold under a licence issued in Ontario.

Raffle tickets are available for sale at OCMS events; the OCMS box office at 4 Florence Street, Suite 201, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 0W7; or by calling the OCMS box office at 613-234-6306.

Alcohol and Gaming Commission regulations prohibit the following individuals and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household from purchasing a Raffle ticket and/or receiving it as a gift: OCMS signatories of the raffle license, OCMS employees, and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to the lottery program.

How to Play
For each Raffle ticket purchased, you will receive one official Raffle ticket number. For telephone orders, please allow a minimum of 10 business days for delivery of Raffle ticket(s). It is the responsibility of purchasers to ensure that orders made by telephone are received prior to deadlines, and to ensure they receive their Raffle tickets.

The draw will occur at noon on Monday, December 17, 2012 as outlined below. Each official Raffle ticket number will have a corresponding stub number in the draw. The winning stub will be drawn from a drum containing all eligible Raffle ticket numbers.

The name of the winner, as well as the winner’s city of residence and the winning Raffle ticket number, will be published on the Ottawa Chamberfest website and Facebook page for a period of 120 days, in accordance with the requirements of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The winner will be notified by telephone and by registered letter.

Payment for Raffle Tickets
Payment for Raffle tickets is by cash or credit card only. If an entrant’s credit card transaction is reversed by the entrant’s credit card issuer, then the entry will be declared invalid unless full payment is received and cleared, prior to the drawing.

Prize
The Raffle draw is for one (1) Grand Prize consisting of:

Round trip economy-class airplane tickets for two (2) persons originating from Ottawa International Airport (the “Origination City”) to Exuma International Airport (the “Destination City”). Approximate value: $1,750.

7-night accommodations in a two-bedroom luxury villa at Grand Isle Resort & Spa, Great Exuma, Bahamas. Approximate value: $5,000.

Daily and departure housekeeping services. Approximate value: $750.

Prize Restrictions
Air travel must commence from the Origination City and must be ticketed through the OCMS and its official travel agent, Aeroplan. Blackout dates, or other restrictions, may apply.

Winner may request travel departure and return dates and OCMS and its official travel agent shall use reasonable efforts to accommodate winner’s request.

Winner is responsible for transport to and from airports in the Origination City and the Destination City, all meals, and all incidentals associated with travel and hotel accommodations.

Once airline and/or hotel reservations are ticketed and paid for, the winner is solely responsible for charges associated with any changes, for any reason, to the itinerary confirmed by OCMS and its official travel agent.

Winner and his/her travel companion must possess all required travel documents prior to departure.

Total value of prize shall not exceed seven thousand five hundred CAD ($7,500). Winner is not entitled to the difference between the stated and actual value at the time the prize is awarded.

Prize must be claimed before December 21, 2013.

Draw
The winning Raffle ticket number of the Grand Prize draw will take place at noon (Eastern Time) December 17, 2012 under the supervision of Welch, LLP at the OCMS administrative offices at 4 Florence Street, Suite 201, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 0W7. The winner will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible Raffle ticket stubs.

The winner’s name and city of residence, as well as the winning Raffle ticket number, will be posted on the Ottawa Chamberfest website and Facebook page. You may also receive information about the winning Raffle ticket number by calling 613-234-6306.

The winner will be notified by phone and in writing by registered mail. The winner does not need to be present to win. OCMS will announce the winner contingent upon verification of the winner’s eligibility and compliance with the Rules of this Raffle. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for delivery of the prize.

Acceptance
The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded. Photo identification of the winner will be requested.

The winner is required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and a publicity release. Failure to sign and return any documents in a timely fashion, or if Prize is returned as non-deliverable, may result in prize forfeiture and selection of another winner.

By participating in the Raffle and accepting the Grand Prize, the winner releases OCMS, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective directors, officers, agents, employees and representatives from any and all liability and agrees to hold them harmless from any liability for any damages, injury or loss, including death, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Grand Prize, or participation in a Grand Prize-related activity.

By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner agrees to the use of his/her name, address, photograph, videotape, voice, signature and any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes and to the use of statements made by or attributed to the winner, provided same are true, relating to OCMS, OCMS’s services or this Raffle and any and all rights to said use without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
